SCRIPTURE & SERMON Rev. Steve

Abundant Life:Where the Journey Begins | John 10:10 & Psalm 42:1-9

I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.
John 10:10

1). The Simple Acknowledgement That Things Aren’t What They Could/Should Be In Your Life
As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you. My soul thirsts for God for the living God.
Psalm 42:1-2

2). Make It Your Habit To Pour Out Your Heart To God
These things I remember as I pour out my soul to God.
My soul is downcast within me.
Why have you forgotten me? Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy?

Psalm 42:4,6,9

3). Remember The Faithfulness Of God
These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go to the house of God under the protection of the Mighty One with shouts of joy and praise among the festive throng.
My soul is downcast within me; therefore, I will remember you from the land of Jordan the heights of Hermon from mount Mizar.
Psalm 42:4,6

4). Tell Yourself What You Know You Need To Hear
Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.
By day the Lord directs his love; at night his song is within me; a prayer to the God of my life.
Psalm 42:5,8
