Sunday School

Every Sunday morning, Sunday School Classes gather to study, learn and discuss. Classes begin at 9:45 a.m.  Please come and join in a class or e-mail the office with questions about finding the right class for you!

Children – Second Floor Children’s Hall

Children from birth to 5th grade can participate in age-specific classes focused on establishing a basic knowledge of the Bible and faith. These classes are taught and supervised by trained adults to ensure safety.

Middle & High School – 2nd Floor

The Middle School Youth gather at the end of the 2nd-floor hall at 10:00 a.m. for Sunday School.  Everyone 6th-12th grade is welcome to join as we explore our faith in Christ.

Mosaic – Room 123

We meet in the old Library Room on the first floor. Invited to be a part of this group are new members, visitors, young adults and young parents (with or without children).  This class studies the Bible at a slow rate so we can really dive into the scripture and understand what it is saying.

Samuel – Room 207

This class is comprised of a variety of people, focusing on individual and family life targeted to both single and married adults.  This class utilizes discussion and study of the Bible and other texts to get to the heart of what matters.

John Mark – Room 203

The John Mark class is committed to in-depth Bible study and supporting each other and the church through prayer.  This group is comprised of both singles and married couples.

Pathfinders – Parlor

The Pathfinders class began as a unique class with a special outreach to Viet Nam veterans and families.  It has expanded to be a general adult class with individuals and couples.

Beacon – Room 101

Made up of couples and singles, this is a warm class studying the Adult Bible Studies series from Cokesbury.  Individuals and couples are encouraged to come and take part in the discussion or simply listen.  Periodic social events are held at members’ homes or at other locations.  All are welcome to take part in this shining class.

Propheteers – Room 102

This class is comprised of retired and semi-retired single and married adults who are extremely active within the church.  Attend this class for study and fellowship.  Their annual watermelon social is legendary.   Various teachers take turns leading this class through the Adult Bible Studies series from Cokesbury.

Inquirers – Room 121

According to the first teacher of the Inquirer’s class, the class’ suggested purpose was to discover, through lesson and discussion, “What one Believes.”  This class continues this tradition by offering a Bible study for four to six months out of the year. They also bring in outside speakers chosen by members.  This class is comprised of couples and single adults.
